Norwegian partners visit Vilnius Prison
On 28 August 2024, Vilnius Prison, part of the Lithuanian Prison Service, welcomed distinguished guests from Norway in a visit aimed at enhancing the social dialogue between trade unions and correctional facilities.
During the visit, Evaldas Gasparavičius, Governor of Vilnius Prison, provided the Norwegian delegation with a comprehensive overview of the prison's operations and presented various initiatives funded by the European Economic Area (EEA) and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
The Norwegian guests had the opportunity to tour the facility, gaining first-hand insights into the infrastructure of Vilnius Prison and the living conditions of its inmates.
We are pleased with the insights shared by our Norwegian partners. This visit marks a significant step towards strengthening international partnerships and enhancing the quality of activities within Vilnius Prison.
