Lithuanian Experience in Risk Assessment Presented in Poland
Representatives of the Lithuanian Prison Service shared their expertise in prisoner risk assessment at an event organized by the Polish Ministry of Justice and the Polish Prison Service. The event provided a platform for international collaboration, featuring discussions on risk assessment tools, best practices, and innovations used in the prison and probation services of Poland, Romania, and Norway.
The Lithuanian delegation included Mindaugas Kairys, Director General of the Lithuanian Prison Service, Laura Rauluševičienė, Head of the Resocialisation Coordination Unit, and Agnė Lotužytė, Chief Specialist of the same unit.
According to representatives of the Lithuanian Prison Service, Lithuania's risk assessment measures are progressing steadily, ensuring that the country remains in step with best practices. The continuous improvement of this critical area contributes to more effective prisoner rehabilitation and overall security within the correctional system.
The Polish Deputy Minister of Justice and the Head of the Prison Service expressed their appreciation for Lithuania's involvement and cooperation.
